Professional Experience

Prof. Fedakar completed his specialization in Cardiovascular Surgery at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 1998. Throughout his career, he has played leading roles in developing cardiovascular surgery units, including:

• Founding cardiovascular surgery clinics at SSK Süreyyapaşa Hospital (2001), Giresun State Hospital, and Sinop State Hospital
• Serving as a Consultant Surgeon at Private Switzerland Hospital (2003–2005)
• Working as an Adult Cardiac Surgeon at Koşuyolu Heart Hospital (2005–2017), where he performed approximately 4,000 open-heart surgeries
• Contributing to the Heart Transplant Team at Kartal Koşuyolu Training and Research Hospital (2010–2015), participating in heart retrievals for around 40 patients and serving as the primary surgeon for 8 heart transplants
