Prof. Dr. Polat is internationally recognized for his leadership in liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation, as well as advanced hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. He has performed thousands of transplant procedures and played a key role in establishing and developing transplant programs in Turkey. His academic excellence is highlighted by prestigious achievements, including the TÜBİTAK Gold Medal in Chemistry and first place nationwide in the General Surgery Specialization Exam.
